What is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)?
PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma is a portion of your own blood platelets. A sample of you blood is obtained via a venipuncture and it is spun down in a centrifuge to separate the plasma. The plasma contains a high concentration of platelets. Platelets are responsible for blood clotting and healing.
